Original Gouache Painting – Diet Coke
This gouache on paper painting of a Diet Coke can (AKA fridge cigarette) has been one of the most requested subjects at art fairs since I introduced my Pantry Petites series. Measuring 8 x 10 inches, the work captures the reflective silver surface of the aluminum can — a rewarding challenge, as it subtly mirrors the surrounding colors and light. I chose to depict it reflecting a clean white surface so that the iconic red lettering and crisp highlights stand out.
To elevate the piece even further, I’ve framed with a bold red glitter mat that adds a playful pop of texture and sparkle — a nod to the classic Coke A Cola branding. As a charming side note, my iPhone reads the label as “Dirt Oke” in photos adding to the quirky charm of this painting 🙂
This painting comes framed in an 11 x 14 inch black solid wood frame, set behind durable polycarbonate glazing for protection. It arrives ready to hang and enjoy.
