Have you ever eaten at Pal’s? It’s a local favorite fast food joint in Abingdon, Virginia, so when I drove by the outrageous sculptural facade lit up at night, I knew I had to paint it during Plein Air Abingdon. I stood on a little road underneath the restaurant painting this plein air. Although I painted the outside, I didn’t eat there. I have to try it next year!
