Finally got out to paint en plein air last weekend!
I traveled to Camden, SC for a paint out hosted by a cute, downtown art gallery, Camden Art Shoppes. I painted in Hampton Park, a city park located DeKalb Street. It was the perfect time to paint – beautiful azaleas were out in full-force while the winter camellias were still hanging on. In the background of this painting, you can make out the top of a granite water fountain that sits in the middle of the park – a plaque on it says it’s dedicated to a civil war solider.
